Blackburn Lancashire So, why did I volunteer? I recently began to compile my family tree. Whilst researching my Great-Uncle, who died at 'The Somme', I came across this site. It offered me the perfect opportunity to give something back to the soldiers who gave their all. Although I'll probably never know the final resting place of My Great-Uncle Samuel Baron (16th Btn. KRRC), who was missing; killed in action, I can at least, help others to see the graves of their beloved ancestors. Unfortunately, cemeteries are not safe places for lone females, so I'd like to say a big thanks to my co-volunteers – My Mum; Margaret Hill and my fiancée; Craig Coupe.
